See it. Feel it. Live it. The off-season is nearly over for the top sport compact drag racers in the world. The Champions have plans of repeats, while the contenders look to overthrow last year’s top teams.

More power, more boost, more rpm and harder launches are just some of the promises from the racers. In Pro, Outlaw, Quick, All-Motor and Street, the records of 2001 are ready to be re-written. Hartford, Papadakis, Rau, Kelley and Shepherd will defend their crowns from the hard-core contenders looking for the spotlight, record IDRC payouts and prestige.

The IDRC’s slogan "By the Racers, For the Racers" will be more evident than ever. Not only will the IDRC boost per event payouts to $24,950 and set a new precedent with a $186,000 championship payout for the heads-up competitors, the IDRC will also unleash the SR-1 Team Drag Challenge, the ONLY program that puts the street racing crews or weekend warrior at center stage.
