High-School Drags and Jr. Dragster Program at Maple Grove to See IDRC for First Time

(Reading, PA) - Maple Grove Raceway has been advocating safe, legal, sanctioned drag racing since its opening. This Saturday the IDRC, AUTO TRADER®, and Advanced Clutch Technology will be introducing a new generation of racers to AUTO TRADER® IDRC CHAMPIONSHIP DRAG RACING.

The gates will open at 8am on Saturday for a High-School drag and Jr. Dragster competition. These competitions will run until about 1pm. The families and fans of the high-school drags will be able to stay as the gates open at 2pm for the Saturday portion of the Advanced Clutch Technology IDRC East Coast Nationals at no additional charge.

"This is a great way to introduce a generation of new racers and their families to the IDRC experience. We feel that our program of import and sport compact drag racing has the technology and performance to turn any spectator into a fan," says Marketing Manager Christi Nishiyama. Christi goes on to say, "If we can introduce performance enthusiasts to organized and sanctioned drag racing before they begin attending illegal street racing, we can make a significant difference in diminishing the problem for the future." This program combined with the IDRC's SR-1 Team Drag Challenge presented by Super Street show that the IDRC and its sponsors are taking an active roll in saving lives.
