Apex, Buschur and Ford Ready to Rock This Sunday
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** 05-17-01

Racing, Show, SPL and Raffle---Record turnout expected at IDRC East Coast Opener

IDRC EAST COAST NATIONALS
SUNDAY, MAY 20th 2001
MAPLE GROVE RACEWAY, PA
Gates Open at 8:00am

How serious is Apex Integration about putting on a show at the IDRC East Coast Nationals this Sunday, May 20th at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pennsylvania? Serious enough to trek the twin-turbo Outlaw Integra and entire race team from Japan to make a run at the world record for a front-wheel-drive import. With slightly larger turbos and some more fine tuning, Apex Integration will be looking to make history at the same event where Steph first ran into the 8s. This may be the only time the public will see this awesome car in competition.

Not a Honda fan? Mitsubishi fans will be on their feet to see the return of David Buschur in his new Pro Class Eclipse. This car-show-quality, four-cylinder, full-tube-frame Pro car will make its World Premiere. How quick will it go? David's already been the first Diamond Star expert to build and pilot a DSM into the 12s, 11s, 10s, and 9s. Will it be the 8s or 7s this Sunday? Be there to see it first.

Wondering if the domestic sport compacts have a chance against the imports? How does over 1300-horsepower sound? With a V6 and a pair of turbos, the Hoyos Racing Ford Focus looks to break new ground for sport compacts looking for an ULTRA-PRO class. Will it take a V8 import or a three-rotor to seriously challenge this sport compact? Will this eventually be the first sport compact into the 6s? Be there to see its world debut.

Got a heads-up racecar or daily-driver that you are itching to race? Bring it on down as IDRC leads its competition in Championship Series and Contingency payouts. Although a record number of cars have preregisterred, you can still race by arriving early and purchasing a tech card for just $50 at the gate.

Like the show instead of the go? A record number of pre-registered cars will attend the Movement Car show. This is the biggest and best "people's choice" car show for imports and sport compacts. There's plenty of room at Maple Grove and the weather is set to be perfect, so shine to win this Sunday. Movement One entries are just $30 at the gate.

Looking to hear the Sound of Power? USAC's Outlaw SPL competition will have the kings of 12-volt cranking it up to incredible sound levels. Feel the sound of the loudest systems east of the Mississippi.

Everyone can also enter the IDRC raffle with thousands of dollars in giveaways. Spectator VIP Pit Passes are available at the gate for just $15. Children under 12 are free.

Advanced Clutch Technology, Apex North America, Apex Integration, Car Trenz, Competition Graphix, DEFI, Ford Racing, Fox Marketing, Impo Performance, Import Tuner, J&R Customs & Performance, Koolart USA, Koyo Cooling, MGR accessories, Motion Mania, Podium Performance, SPI, Sport Compact Car, Turbo & High-Tech Performance, Speedvision, Strictly Foreign Auto and USAC are just a few of the companies that will be represented in this record-size manufacturer's midway.
