The RSVPs from racers along with discussion topics have been flowing
into
the IDRC offices by fax and by e-mail. The IDRC needs to input from its
racers to help channel and direct the organizations incredible growth.
"Our projections are that our 2001 series attendance figures will be
double
the 2000 figures. This is great news for any racer seeking sponsorship.
Over
the past four seasons, the IDRC has become the racer's number-one
choice for
import/sport compact motorsport events. We truly believe that we can
only
continue to have the racer's support if we listen to the racers. Listen
and
do everything in our power to continue to make the IDRC number one.
Number
one in the minds and hearts of the racers, fans, sponsors and track
owners.
That's our commitment to the future," says National Director Michael
Ferrara.
With 18 events planned for the 2002 season, the IDRC will once again be
in
more markets with more races than its two closest competitors combined.
Thanks to recent agreements with local promoters, IDRC classes are now
the
standard for nearly all regional import/sport compact series.
According to Operations Director Wayne Kiang, "Our classes are designed
to
be as 'inclusive' as possible. We support all of the racers equally,
and all
of the groups excluded by other organization's appreciate our
commitment to
be fair to each and every racer."
The IDRC is accepting requests for topics to be added to the agenda.
Only
topics submitted for discussion will be addressed at this meeting. The
meeting is open to all IDRC heads-up racers and members. Reservations
are
required to attend this meeting. Please contact IDRC to confirm your
appearance. Remember the racer meeting will be this Wednesday and RSVPs
are
to be received no later than 6pm on Tuesday, September 11th. The IDRC
looks
forward to welcoming home its family of racers again.
