FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** 09-17-01
Money, Blood and Wishes to Help Victims and Survivors
The IDRC is dedicating its next event (October 7th) to the families of the
victims and survivors of the September 11th tragedy. A portion of every
spectator and racer entry will be donated to the American Red Cross to
assist those affected by this despicable and ungodly act. In addition to the
monetary support, the IDRC is now attempting to set up an at-site blood
drive.
"We understand that our contribution, and the contributions made by many of
America’s other private corporations and small businesses, will be just one
bucket of relief toward extinguishing this massive inferno of destruction to
the people and freedom of our country, and the free world. Yet, there are
now, and will continue to be, many larger companies and individuals that can
and will provide more substantial relief. America has been wounded. America
will heal and be stronger than ever as our people unite," says National
Director Michael Ferrara.
This dedicated event will take place at Bandimere Speedway in Golden,
Colorado on Sunday, October 7th beginning at 8am. For further event details
or to purchase pre-sale tickets, visit www.importdrag.com
or call the IDRC offices at (714)-593-0280.

Get ready for the ultimate import/sport compact experience coming to the
Rocky Mountains of Golden, Colorado. On Sunday, October 7th, the IDRC will
set the stage for one of the most exciting events in the history of
Bandimere Speedway . The 2001 IDRC Rocky Mountain Nationals will feature the
top stars of the IDRC's Quick and Street Class as they lay down the law a
mile high in the sky. The 9-second rockets of Brent Rau, Gary Gardella and
Mike Crawford are all planning to make the trip in hopes of taking the lead
in the IDRC's $128,500 Championship. Local Team PFI racers and others are
looking to shut down the competition with the home-field advantage. For
those that like the show as much as the go, the Meguiar's Movement One Car
Show will have 200 of the region's best showing off their rides for your
approval. If that's not enough, the beautiful ladies in the crowd and
competitors of the Ms. Import contest should be enough to put any enthusiast
over the edge. Whether you are ready to race, show, wrench or just get the
best seats in the house, come on out to be part of the IDRC experience.
On-line ordering is active now for discount tickets.
