Drag Racing – The Facts
To sum it all up, the
stage is set for more sponsors to become involved in the most exciting new
Motorsports/Lifestyle event series in America. This series reaches a younger
audience that’s more diverse than ever before. Life’s a drag, now more than
ever.
Who
are we?
IDRC, Inc is the world’s
largest lifestyle Motorsports event producer with 15 national events in nine
regions across the United States. We
are a privately owned corporation and our only business is event production.
We lead in event attendance, coverage and record-setting performance.
Now in our fifth season, event attendance is projected to reach nearly
200,000, with coverage of events expected to reach 2.5 million enthusiasts.
Why
is this unique?
Import
drag racing started in the 1970’s when imports hit the United States. The
movement slowly gathered momentum over the past 30 years and came to the
forefront of Motorsports in 1998 when IDRC developed the first national series,
dedicated to imports and sport compact racecars. The cars are not your typical
racecars. The powerplants are the most technologically advanced in the world,
producing more power per cubic inch on gasoline or methanol than any other
engines in the world.
We
expanded in the following years to become the first national championship drag
racing series. At present IDRC
leads all competitors in the segment, including the NHRA.
Who’s the Audience?
Not
the typical Motorsports’ audience. It’s a new generation of Motorsports
enthusiasts, with no ties to the conventional NASCAR, NHRA, and CART racing
series. The IDRC series is followed by more than 2.5 million NEW enthusiasts
across the United States including Puerto Rico and Hawaii.
Unlike other forms of Motorsports, the audience is younger:
67% under 25 years old and 92% under 35 years old.
Who are some of our Current Sponsors?
Ford,
Mazda, Toyota, BFGoodrich Tires, Toyo Tires and Meguiar’s.
