This last Sunday's IDRC Rocky Mountain Nationals shattered all previous spectator and participant records for a one day event. We'd like to thank everyone for making this event one for the record books.
All totaled, 7,128 paid spectators joined 530 racers and 160 show participants for an exciting event at Bandimere Speedway in Colorado. The weather was perfect and the racing was exceptional as the stars of the IDRC took on local heroes in the Nitto Tires Turbo Magazine Quick class, the APC Street Class and the Ford Racing Performance Parts brackets.
Brent Rau, Mike Crawford and local Brent Leivestad all broke into the 9s. Brent took home the winner's loot for the Quick class while setting a track record for an import with a 9.35-second elapsed time. Mike Crawford got beaten on the tree by local Brent Leivestad. Leivestad became the first Colorado racer into the 9s.
